Thanks for the info. If severe, she shouldn't be allowed to play, risks aggravating it. Then she may be out for a few months ?
Long ago ? How can that be ? She just played last month at the AUS Open SS beating Michelle Li before losing to Saina Nehwal. And in May she played in the Uber Cup. I don't remember reading anything about her injury.
She has been having this injury with her but she still play on despite having the injury. Injury just doesn't stop someone from playing in tournaments.
In the MD department we are really in for a surprise. China MD is indeed extremely good in this tournament. They send 3 pairs and so far 2 pairs have reached the finals. (He Jiting / Tan Qiang and Fan Qiuyue / Ren Xiangyu). On top of that there is no Korea representatives for the MD department at all in the semifinals. The only Korean MD playing in the QF have just lost to Malaysia MD. However Korea still have 2 representatives in the semifinals tomorrow. (WS and XD). Once again congratulations to team China for playing so well in this tournament. They have 10 players who will be playing in different categories. Wow amazing. So good. 50% pf their players managed to reach the semifinals. What a good performance.
I was thinking if she had leg cramps as someone pointed out, then she can resume playing after a short rest or between matches, but severe injury, no way. Perhaps her leg injury isn't that serious. Just saying.
I don't know nor in a position to tell you. Perhaps CBA realized the importance of paying more attention to MD starting from their junior players, seeing how their national MDs are struggling to cope these past few years. I'd have thought KOR is superior in MD than CHN. Perhaps you might be willing to share their secrets ?
See It is so good. China have 3 MD representatives in the semifinals and Korea had none. Got it? There is not much of secret for Korea MD success. Just hard work. I am referring to the Korea senior players.
There is a big difference between the standard of the juniors and seniors. Only Ratchanock has bridged the gap early. Akane and HBJ haven't progressed as well. Simply the previous MS champions. Having said that the China doubles have performed well.Lets see how the MS perform tomorrow. The Ws are a better bet in my opinion. The indian boy is a real talent having disposed off Koki Watanabe who is quite a good player and now he is in the semifinals. I think Sun must not underestimate his opponent tomorrow. Well done the junior coaches. But I still feel that not enough exposure is given to the juniors especially in the GPG gold tournaments. For example there are very few China juniors in the upcoming Vietnam Open. Sad!!!
Lakshya Sen , 14 year old boy , played brilliantly today & entered semifinals. Tomorrow, he has a big obstacle in the form of Chinese player. He need to use all his talent in order to beat him. Can he do it? Anyway, he won bronze already.
Chinese juniors do well here, two representatives in each category of semifinal round even three for MD department. We'll see whether they will repeat last year successful to clean sweep all five titles in Asian meet. China's Sun Feixiang and Chen Yufei are the favourites to win BS and GS title and both of them will face tricky test today against Indian darkhorse Lakshya Sen and Korean Kim Ga Eun respectively. Big surprise were created yesterday, top seed Chochuwong conceded retired in second game while recent World Junior Champion Goh JW lost to Kim GE. Indonesia last hopeful Gregoria Mariska must defy all odds to face the hot favourite Chen Yufei who got free final ticket due to Kim Ga Eun walkover.
Chen Yufei a player of her calibre still feel the need to play in this tourney hehe. Sent from my Xperia™ Z Ultra using Tapatalk
