M/Q Report version 1 (12th September 2014) : http://www.bwfbadminton.org/file.aspx?id=593367&dl=1 DRAW date : 30th September 2014 All world's bests return to Denmark after World Championships last August, stiff competition in all 5 categories.
The draw has been released. You can check it here. http://www.bwfbadminton.org/tournamentcalendar_event.aspx?id=18141
Interesting first round encounter, Asian Games gold medalist Maheswari/Polii will take on home fave Juhl/Pedersen. From MS draw, CHN strong duet Lin Dan & defending champion Chen Long are drawn at bottom half while Lee Chong Wei is grouped with Tago, Son WH and Tommy Sugiarto at top half of draw.
Sindhu has to meet world champion carolina in the second round.. saina is grouped with shixian and yihan in the bottom half.
China has 5 WS players. Liu xin, li han, shixian, li xuerui, yihan. Except li xuerui, all the other players are in the bottom half where saina is grouped. Interesting.
MAS only have LCW and CWF to compete this tournament, where the others? BAM running out of budget to sponsor others to compete?
TS perma-link is fully populated now here: http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/draws.aspx?id=9D032FB5-FD58-4259-A71C-4A4B52A4C4FE It appears there are several opportunities for some upsets in the first 2 main rounds. In all disciplines!
Yes it should be a thrilling clash between Wei man and momoto rooting for Wei Sindhi vs Carolina R2 a perfect chance for PV to take revenge and improve rankings..and in fact if she does that she can qualify till SF where LXR will wait for her as SJH doesn't seems to be a threat now.. Saina finally has a chance to make a SF performance in a as when she will face WYH.. I hope for another LYD/YYS vs HS/MA final and LYD to prevail this time
You're overlooking the mighty Yip Pui Yin, Sindhu's first round opponent. You can never underestimate any of Sindhu's opponents, anybody could spring up a surprise. Even if Sindhu does manage to get through to the QF, her opponent probably won't be Sung Ji, instead more likely opponent would be Akane (Qualification Q3). And Saina vs WYH? - overambitious frankly. Han Li and Wang Shixian en-route.
Indeed. Sindhu is struggling against lefties like Bae, Carolina etc. So, it will be tough to predict the outcome between carolina and sindhu.
