Today i went few shops to find this power ball in Singapore Jurong Point. But none of them even knows this power ball. Anyone can recommend to me, where can i find this power ball in SG?
Guys just want to asking , my wrist feel pain/numb when I start playing . Why is it? I train for net play before , and ever since that training my wrist feel numb when playing a match . The next day I playing(without net play training) , I feel numb too . Is it because net training that I do or I swing heavy racket around(but it never happens to me if I use heavy racket)
the wrist. most power comes from the wrist. your racket gets more forward motion or speed when flicking your wrist than swinging your arm.
Power is a mixture of technique and strength, if you only have one then you're going to limit yourself. Also keep in mind that you want strong defined muscles, not large bulky ones. What I did when playing competitively was back, shoulders and arm (all muscles) but especially forearm curls (from all angles) and rope pull down. Don't forget to train the lower body too, doesn't matter if you have a great shot if you can't get to it in time.
haha teeshbun!! in mauritius badminton iz still considered as a girl's game.... wat do u expect we don't even have a yonex shop!!muahahahaha
yaa ur right what is this bloody minister of sports doin??really unfair i guess ill have to get it online
I say pick up some light weight, and move it with a flicking motion, until it gets tired. plus arm and shoulder are also important, arm is the hold your wrist so you dont get worn out too fast and a faster swing, and solder to keep yoru arm out wihtout getting tired, and I alsyo train my chest/torso for the turning point
Take an iron plate of say 10 pounds or 10 pounds dumbell, it doesn't matter. Tie the plate or dumbbell to a dumbell bar so that it is dangling below about 1 foot to 3 feet (depending on preference). Lay your forearms on the table with both palms facing down and start to roll up the bar gently until the plate reaches the bar. Then, roll down and back up again for a number of sets. Try it, it will build great wrist strength.
Try to do the smashing action with tennis rackets, because its a lot heavier than badminton rackets. After a while your swing should be much stronger
imo, baminton training racquets (those approximately nearly double the regular weight of baddy racquets) or even squash racquets are better than tennis racquets. tennis racquets will ruin your momentum (reason being, they have a much larger head...) when switching back to baddy.
Swinging a tennis racket is very different from swinging a badminton racket. Tennis players lock their wrist during the swing, badminton players loosen their wrist for pronation. It is twice the weight, and u'll risk injuring ur wrist.
