markis kido hendra setiawan really shocked me today with their mistake plagued game. The taiwanese duo showed great partnership on the other hand...

and tony gunawan and howard bach put up such a solid performance. tony was so sharp and threatening up front the net despite his age...and the koreans didn't have much chances to whack their big smashes...I guess they'd take the title

That's close, but a better translation I think would be 'finish your opponent(s) off' :)

But the way I see it, the home crowd today supported Gade more than the 'adopted son' Boonsak.. ?

I hope Boonsak will end up with a different faith this year. DEN XD is very strong also, taking advantage of their height and with their powerful smashes, they might win the title tomorrow if they play like today. But I think LHJ/KMJ are just too strong for Yao Lei/Shinta, but I do hope miracle happens. Go Singapore WD, fight for the very first time! Haha.... :D

..perhaps no CHN players?..no other top players?..no more LCW?..no Taufik?..
How about the attendance at SIS on QF, SF days?? as packed as last yr?..
This yr's S'pore Open competitors seem to border very close to a GP Gold tourney..

What happened to Kido & Setiawan losing easily in straight games & still in search of their first S'pore Open title?..injured? A/C draft too strong? lack of training/sparring? or was it the rackets?..

Haha, I remember watched Indonesia open SS last year. There were big tense between MAS and INA because of "ambalat" problem, so all the spectators in stadium boo-ed every MAS players when they were playing.

When fuzzy was playing, everyone around me were boo-ing them, but I am the only one who shout loudly, like "Tazari!! Chayo!!." It was like everyone around me give some weird gesture and they think that I was sit in the wrong seat and location. Hoho. It's kinda funny to experience that situation. LOL

And for yesterday matches, there were lot of upsets. Just can't believe Shinta/Yao Lei upsets Cheng WH/Chien YC. Hope they can maintain such as tremendous performance in the finale and bag their first ever SS title for them and for SIN in WD. Or it will gonna be SIN first title in all event?

In the second game, they made too many mistakes and gave away too many free points to their opponents. But even if we don't count those mistakes, they still play poorly.

I'd guess lack of desire to win? After losing the first set 19-21, I didn't see any fighting spirit from them.
I supported them but the TPE pair deserved their win.
