0, 4 and 6 points for Europe, and 3, 2, and 3 points for Asia make it 10-8 for Europe. Congratulations!
Ya,the Europeans have proven that we are wrong, they are really something.Although i am supporting the asian, but anyway congrats to the Europe, you all did a good jod.I think in the MVP cup,the best player is LD,i think he did a good job this time although asian has lost.
The Europe team had more will to win compared to Asian and they are smart, scoring the points when matter...first day is only 1 point and they lost 3-0, 2nd day in 2 points for each win and they win 2-1 and last day the point is 3 for each win and they won 2-1. The turnaround for Europe come from the ladies single. an exhausted Yao found the second wind in the rubber
All are winners. But of course it would be good if you are the Cup Holder its EXTRA $2000 in the pocket.
Bravo to the players & Organiser Yes, indeed all are winners including the fan. Brovo to the players and organizer able to make the best out of the situation. Looking forward to the MVP 2007
This is what I like most : Li Yong Bo and Choong Tan Fook were there coaching Taufik during breaks! WOW! The Chinese head coach, coaching his ward’s rival, and a Malaysian champ, coaching someone from Indonesia! The Malaysian should be as interpreter .........
Ants, was that you? I know that guy in the middle though... Congrats to Team Europe! When the MVP Cup began, everyone thought Team Asia would win, but the members of Team Europe were able to pull it off!!! More MVP Cup pics and info at: http://pinoybadminton.com.ph/mvpcup/
It was a good tournament. An upset for Asia but it's good to see tight competition between both groups. Yes, it was extra special to see Li Yong Bo give advice to Taufik through Choong Tan Fook. On the third day, Taufik was cheering and goofing around with Tan Fook when Zhang Ning won the 2nd set against Yao Jie. Next year's MVP Cup should be a lot better for sure. =)
Congrats to team Europe.. ..hmm, it wasn't really a surprise to me to see team Europe hold the Cup for the next yr..On that note, i know a lot of people would like to see the top players in the world competing, but personally, i would like to see a different set of players (for either team) given a chance playing next yr... **BTW, will this MVP Cup be an annual event & being host in Manila for the foreseable future??..
Nice shock from Europe team, Congratulations! Pathetic performance showed by TH. Is it his quality as a world + olympic champ??? My goodness! TH played once and he LOST meanwhile LD played twice and he won twice too...I agree with the statement that said LD is the most consistent and very dependable shuttler in team competition.LD is more responsible than 'Mr.controversy' TH, excellence for his contribution in Asia team! Waiting another duel Asia against Europe on next MVP Cup-07...
MVP was joking yesterday that the next staging of the MVP Cup should be in europe well whether it's in europe, asia or back in Manila, hope you guys can make it
Hi, how come that the European team won the MVP 2006? I thought Asian won most of the matches. Can someone post the whole result and explain me? Thanks in advance
i was disappointed with Zhang Ning. I expected her to win the game but eventually lost the 3rd game to Yao Gie. The ASIAn team could have won the MVP Cup 2006 if Zhang Ning won. But its okey..I still love her. Anyway its just a friendly game...
