I'm afraid KS is not making much headway and if he is not putting more sting in his attacks, he will miss the decider.

Even if he does, Tian will probably be able to last longer and stronger.

THW a bit lucky to win the last point, he was scrambling all over the place reacting to KS shots.

Commentators don't sound too happy with Tian's win because it would mean an all-Chinese Q-finals.

was KS defending any points here from last year? i guess he isn't.
nicely played by tian houwei, the better player of the two today. .hope KS can now get much needed rest and comes back afresh in the singapore super series.

I don't believe Tian was lucky. He was on top most of the match and deserved to win.

    Remember, Tian beat LCW once.

Congratulations to Tian for advancing to the quarterfinals, he will face Lin Dan tomorrow.
Also hoping for a good fight from Xue Song in his match tomorrow knowing how tired he must be.

Specially as Tian seems to lose all his wits when playing again LD

The key to THW's victory is the ability to anticipate most of KS net play, neutralize his tight spinning net shots.

But I'd like to see THW attacking more in a sharp and forceful manner.

Yes you are right. Tian Hou Wei won the match 21-14, 21-18 nd he really created a big upset today. With Srikanth at world ranking no 4, I wouldn't have believed Tian Houwei will win this match. Well, it is once again proven that world ranking is not important but the performance at the court is very important. This is really a good win for Tian Houwei. He ended the match with a bang. :)

Xue Song's stamina and endurance is impressive, in the company of the supremely fit Chen Long, Son Wan Ho, Chou Tien Chen, Tommy Sugiarto, J O Jorgensen, and the recently retired Du Pengyu.

For racket fanatics, they can look forward to an exciting Tian HW - Li Ning (China) vs Lin Dan - Yonex (Japan) Q-final showdown.

Wang Zhengming is also very fit, don't know if Xue Song's fitness can take it tomorrow.

What happened, WXL/YY retired ? Who's injured or unwell ? I suspect it's Yu Yang, since her operation , she's not quite the same again.
