No 1 Seed MM/AT just can't get a break. If they think TJH/ZQX is tough, ODN/YXH is at least 30% tougher. This seeding thing is not working out for them.

What happens to other MAS MS players besides LCW? Is Daren he booted out of BAM already? What about CWF?

No Malaysian singles player will make it to the main draw by the looks of it. Sorry M'sian fans, I just don't see them digging their way through to the main draw.

Lin Dan seems to have an interesting draw. Laden with booby-traps all the way. Does anyone else think he's playing different because of his new racket?

Li Yongbo said Li Xuerui should be ready to do duty at the coming Sudirman Cup in May. What about the MAS Open PSS? He didn't say. Hmm...I think LXR will just do what she can without pushing herself too hard for fear of risking aggravating her foot injury as the Sudirman Cup is far more important, the more so when both WYH and WSX are unreliable based on their recent form.

Tago is back in the meanwhile. Nice to see him in the draw once again. If you guys remember Fuzzy's doubles partner from those days, Lin Woon Fui... I'm sure i saw his name in the draw in the MD Qualification.

In addition to great actions on court, hope there will also be better video feeds from Malaysia. The streaming quality from AE and IO was not up to snuff.

It should be obvious that the real battles will only begin in May for every tournament that counts toward OG qualification.

I think most Rio participants know who they are. And they will qualify for Rio without much drama.

There are only two groups of players who are really fighting for their tickets to Rio:
    1. those on the bubble and trying to get as high as possible in the rankings
    2. Chinese team-mates other than the those who at the very top

Either way, the Olympic qualification helps all badminton tournaments in no small ways. Under the new rules, there is no need for team-mates to "help" each other, but just to fight for themselves.
