I won't feel angry but if i am a singaporean i won't feel proud cos i won't feel like is a true singaporean that has achieved that. It's rather much like a short cut to bring sports glory to the country but I don't feel this is a long term solution. Sometimes is not so much the results that count, is how much effort that is put in. If a player is not as naturally gifted as players from other countries, then i think he/she should put even more effort to compensate for this.
Some of Boonsak's team mates in Thailand team look up to him as an idol. Sometimes when they meet people of other countries, they will tell others how good Boonsak is! Many of them called him as P'Man instead of man(his nickname). P'Man means Man ge ge or Man brother. This shows that they respect him eventhough he is just their team mate!! Even the guys in the team think that Boonsak is good looking! Haha! As far as I know, the team mates in thai team always encourage each other. I believe its the bond they have that make them stay together. So I think they wont move to other countries just because of very tight competition.
emm...can any one show me the score of the WD match of C.E.H/W.P.T vs saralee / sathinee??? Singapore....i think singapore inported many players from china... eg:Li Yu Jia,Jiang Yan Mei,Li Li......for table tennis is Li Jia Wei.(olympic no.4 she is ronald susilo`s girl friend right??
ya, haha, you are right i think they gave A BIG SURPRISE to the people all over the world in OG when li jia wei stunned wang nan and susilo beat #1
wah.....sounds good! What sports will they let thier children play in the future?? Badminton o Table tennis?? Lets Guess......hehe!! O combination of both?? Hahaha!!! What game it that leh....??!!
Right. No point getting angry. These are second rank players from power house, China. If they chose to stay in China, they will not have any chance to excel. From professional point of view, that is the right thing to do.
I think they can have a combination of both! Best if Ronald can coach his son and Jiawei coach her daughter! They can be their parents/coaches! Hope that Ronald will get well soon,so that he can play in tournies again.
So funny!Yah,hoping that Ronald recovers soon too!I also think they can have a combination of both! How adorable that sounds!
Thank you 4 d info and i think BP also doesn't want to move to other country cause he's an idol now!! one of the Chinese players, 4 example : Pi Hong Y moves to France because she couldn't compete with her team mates...Zhan Ning,XXF, Gong Xi Cao (I wonder where she is...??), etc. so that she can find more advantages in the 'new country'...What do ya think??
When you say Singapore depends everything on foreign talents, then you are very wrong. Singapore don't depend everything on local talents. For example, Wushu and swimming. And their Wushu athletes and swimmers are better than most of the other South-East Asians. I don't see that being regarded as depending on foreign talents. And i can say that they are high-grade. And if you think any country should not rely on foreign talents for a medal, then what's the point of USA hurray-ing when Gunawan/Bach won the World Championships? What's the point of Hong Kong being happy when Wang Chen won ABC? They are also foreign talents anyway. And i don't see anyone saying this that time. We feel proud when foreign talents wins because they are still part of your country. They are groomed here, they live here. And without Singapore, i don't think they will ever make their mark in the sporting arena. Because Singapore brought them over from China that's why they have got the chance to excel. I don't even think they have got the chance to perform when they are in China. They have got too many good players there that they sometimes forget about the a little above average players. So when Singapore brings them over, they become even more famous than some other players who other better than them who are still stuck in China. Is this considered wrong? We're helping them actually. And even if they are foreign talents, they won't be doing so well if Singapore doesn't have the ability to do so. Because Singapore have the capability, the foreign talents can rise. And is that called relying on foreign players? Singapore plays a part in moulding the foreign talents too. So i think it's really rude to say that about Singapore.
Welcome!! Haha!Yup,he's an idol now, even in his team... I agree that there are too many talented players in China. Far too many!! Perhaps they are moving to other countries to prove themselves. If they stay in China, theres no way they can excel when they are not given equal chance to play and to represent the team.
