INA should field this to face JPN, MS : Simon, last meeting Simon beat Sasaki if im not mistaken. WS : Firda, she lost rubber set to Eriko in last encounter, and ever beat Eriko in 2 sets. MD : any of INA combination, this should be a point for INA. WD : Greysia/Nitya, they ever beat Miyuki/Satoko. I believe, they will beat them again..! XD : Fran/Pia, should be another point for INA. I predict INA win 4-1 or 3-2...
Don't rule out Hirata/Hashimoto yet. They are the winners of the IND SS, runner up in BAC after all. And they have beaten: KKK/TBH, GZD/CB, MK/HS...\ So INA better tread with caution... but their fans are so supportive, I can't help cheering INA on when they are not against MAS Even though INA generally not on good terms with MAS
Wow, I commend you for your optimism and patriotism, but I think your assessments are a little off. MS - JPN will probably play Tago. It will be a close fight with Simon WS - Eriko v Firda. Another close match. Hope Firda does not yoyo MD - Like undeadshot said, Hirata/Hashimoto should not be underestimated. If you think this is a certain point, I'd say you're quite wrong WD - JPN WD pairs will frustrate any INA pair with their patience and defence. Too close to call XD - I give this one to INA. Reiko/Shintaro are not that good. Very close battle; could go either way.
As I mentioned in my other post, I will still think INA can beat JPN from XD, MS, and either WS or MD. Firda, as expected, plays better in Team Events and Greysia Polii also is a great team player to have.
Impressing watched GP/MJ performance last night. Before, I doubt their performance.. Especially Greysia, i think she is just like artist, sorry Hopefully they can keep it when facing JPN tomorrow. My prediction is INA will win 3-2. Good luck
INA vs JPN, hard to predict, but most likely the scoreline will be 3-2. Japan WD & MD did well lately in several tourneys named AE SSP, IND SS, BAC, MAS GP Gold so big possible they will bag 2 points here. XD will be INA advantage, singles division 50:50 chance for both teams.
WD will be a bright chance for INA,if team manager smart enough to field Greysia/Nitya,obviously Nitya has much better agility, stamina than Meiliana. Beside that, Grey/Nit has good record against Miyuki/Satoko. Need patience and full stamina to beat the JPN WD. If they field Grey/Mel, just like suicide, and will lost point in WD. Hmm, as i say many times, sincerely hope from QE onwards, they will field Greysia/Nitya.
It is hard to predict but the scoreline may be 3-1. If WD is the last to play, JPN will win 3-2 unless INA can win 3-0 or 3-1 first depending on the order of play
RI men shuttlers expected to deliver against Japan Agnes Winarti, The Jakarta Post, Jakarta | Fri, 05/27/2011 11:02 PM As their contribution to the team’s victory over Malaysia was limited, Indonesia’s men shuttlers are expected to deliver big points in Friday’s quarterfinal clash against rising badminton powerhouse Japan at the Sudirman Cup world mixed team championships in Qingdao, China. “It is the quarterfinal, we won’t be playing around. We will simply play our best shuttlers to beat the Japanese,” Indonesian team manager Hadi Nazri was quoted as saying Thursday by Antara news agency. Hadi said the team was still mulling whether to return to regular formation or keep the changed formation. The regular men’s doubles pairing of world number 10 Alvent and Hendra Aprida Gunawan are more experienced than Ahsan and Bona Septano, although Ahsan and Bona are ranked two levels higher by the BWF. Japan’s top men’s duo Noriyasu Hirata and Hirakatsu Hashimoto are currently in peak form after triumphing at the recent India Open Superseries. They have, however, lost their last two meetings against Alvent and Hendra at the 2011 and 2009 Malaysia Grand Prix Gold. ----------------------------------------- Full article : http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2011/05/27/ri-men-shuttlers-expected-deliver-against-japan.html
Not from MD that's almost for sure. Although the jap pair is good, but I have seen them live in 2011 Aus gp gold, and they are a class below Hendra/Alvent or even Ahsan
But you haven't seen them during the BAC and the India Super Series, they are playing at least second tier badminton on level with KSH/YYS. Not to mention, they have beaten the Koreans during AG.
I don't know how much they can improve in such sort time, but you could be right INA should not underestimate them in any form. So yeah let's see tonite
