I want to buy a jetspeed s10q from someone but I'm not sure it's authentic. I have one myself and it has a serial code. However, the jetspeed s10q from the seller doesn't have one.

Here is what he said when I asked him for the serial code:

"Ok, so it’s a custom made racket by victor for a player who was sponsored by them"

"He was my classmate and ex flatmate"

"There’s won’t be any serial number on it , but it will me mentioned as sample"

"You can come and take a look"

Somewhat suspicious. Possibly believable if the seller is 1) Korean 2) Malaysian as the Jetspeed 10 was used by some players on both national squads at the time the racket was released.

There should still be something etched on the shaft/cone indicating sample or something else. i would ask the seller for a photo of the shaft/cone area.

Speaking based on experience (and also mentioned in this forum) when the Korean team had bravesword 12s they played a lot different from the retail versions. They also had "KRP" region codes.

Thank you for replying. I just got a photo of the cone:

The seller's racket is the one with the orange grip.

My racket is the one with the yonex cyan overgrip

So there should be the word "sample" on the shaft if it's truly a sponsored player's racket.[IMG][IMG]

I'll get to know if it's a real racket tomorrow, I'll compare it with mine and let you know. Also, he mentioned that his camera wasn't sharp enough to capture "Samp Le" on the shaft but that I'll still get to see it tomorrow.

I had a player version of the original JS10 and i believe the code on the shaft for it was MYP. I also still have a ZF1 directly from someone on the Malaysian team and their code for it was MA (yonex codes probably diff). My Ryuga LZJ code directly has LEE.Z.J on the shaft also

Turns out the racket is real, it really did feel like my jetspeed s10q and it was very stiff. However, is it normal that I don't really feel a difference between 4u and 3u?

Also, the name "Samp Le" was laser engraved in the racket (shaft)
