. I disagree with you. Why? Because at this 2011 Singapore Open SS, most of the top Chinese men players were there; but not most of the top Chinese women players. Let's wait for the results from the 2011 World Championships and the 2012 Olympics Games when China will be fielding all their top players. I am quite sure that the Chinese women will outperform the men teammates in these 2 events. .
.."most of the top CHN women players weren't there"??..From the list, the only other top CHN women player missing from the S'pore Open is Wang XL; Yu Yang who is her regular WD partner played XD..While their top WS players (the Wangs) all competed..
With the upsets of Wang Xin and MJ/PP, round 2 of INA open has 6 China MS compared to 5 WS. 2 MD compared to 1 WD But still I don't think the men outperform the women maybe about equal because China can't seem to be that invincible in WD and there are more than 1 good MD pair now
MD is the only event where they place 2 representatives in the SF (and maybe 2 in the final, don't know yet) when it is supposed to be their weakest link!
I think the WD team is still better than the MD team in China in terms of performance in general (results from Jan - June this year). The problem lies in the WS team. Ever since Zhang Ning took over as main coach, she seems to be forcing all WS to train & play the way she was, which many think is wrong. Many reckon that Zhang Ning should step down, she simply doesn't have the talent & experience as coach, at least not now.
to CBA ?? you must be joking........CBA is not BWF.......... In fact, I hope that China will loose the gold in WS next year.........it's good for the development of badminton worldwide, plus there's a chance that Zhang Ning will be forced to step down ..haha
