It’s always frustrating to wait for CBA to give exposure to juniors. The previous highly praised cohort of Sun Chao, Liu Liang and Dong Tianyao (all 20-21 years old now) are still only playing 2-3 tournaments a year at challenger and series level. In the meantime, many of their ex WJ and AJ men singles champions had just retired without actually playing much high level events eg Sun Feixiang and Lin Guipu

Totally agreed. Indonesias 2023 Wjc is already taking part in quite senior tournaments. Wjy and Zzj together with Pyl and Hza and some others are talented and has won all the junior competitions held last year.CBA, don't lose the Plot, please let their talent blossom. A lin Dan could possibly arise from these juniors. Don't waste their time. You have nurtured the existing players ,zjp, Llx, very well and credit is due to CBA, but they are reaching their limits. These new players are the future of China's MS.

China's injury jinx struck again. Chen Lu was doing well against 2022 world junior champion, Tomoka Miyazaki, in the opening game of the WS semifinal of the Orleans Masters. She was leading 9-5 when she executed a massive smash to win point number 10, but twisted her knee on landing, quite similar to the way Yan Anqi twisted her knee. Looks quite serious to me. Had to be wheelchaired out of the court.
Yan Anqi has not even returned to competition after more than 1 and 1/2 years.
Wang Lin, Wang Xin, Li Xuerui, Gao Fangjie, Yan Anqi (back in training) and now, Chen Lu.

No, he is not injured, ranking is too low to qualify to take part in the tournament. Similarly Hu Zean and Wang Zijun. Even Liu Liang and Wang Zhengxing couldn't participate in Orleans Masters although they were entered for the tournament, rankings are too low.
Hu and Wang have won places in the national squad in December, after some selection trials. Others are Dong Tianyao, Wu Kaian, Zhu Xuanchen and Liu Zeqin.

Any update on Chen Lu's injury? Surely she has been analysed until now.
