First think of the entertainment value. Second, make it that you have to serve within 3 seconds of both players being ready, subject to umpire's count. Within that 3 seconds you can fake as much as you want. Double motion, triple motion, fake sweat wiping, whatever you want. I think this will add a big new fun element to badminton, whether playing it yourself or watching on TV.
