The two junior Malaysian MS are quite good actually, beating players from Taiwan and Japan, which are the finalist and semifinals in the team event. Malaysia also has another two good young players in NTY and LJH. If they polish these 4 players well,I think Malaysia can try to aim for the Thomas Cup in a few years as the age gap is not that huge among these 4.

The Thai WS are good too,and the Korean team is really good overall.

It’s interesting to follow this but I really wonder about the seeding system. It seems broken, or based on some wildly wishful thinking about the level of European badminton. Of the 32 seeded entries in MS and WS, 20 (!) are Europeans, 10 Asians and 2 from the Americas.

On court, however, Asia is unsurprisingly dominating. Now that we are at the round of 16 in the singles, there is one lone European player left (top seed Alex Lanier), and 29 Asian players (8 of the 10 Asian seeds have survived).

In fact, there have been 79 singles games between European and Asian players so far. Europeans have won only 8 of them.

Probably that's due to Europe restarting international junior tournaments earlier than Asia. The European players have had far more chances to gain ranking points.

That's absolut correct. If you take a look at the seeding of the team competition Spain and Germany were seeded at 3/4 and Japan on 17. The finalist Korea and Chinese Taipei werde "seeded" at 30 and 31 from 38 teams.

In 2021 here I was hoping to see Nella Nyqvist vs Pitchamon Opatniputh in Sudirman Cup 2021. In this
World Junior Championships their chance to meet was very close

if developed properly by India , he can be a big asset. But knowing BAI , my hopes are already dashed.

Don't feel too bad..you can easily replace "BAI" with any other government badminton bodies..and get the same emotional response from their respective citizens...I can go on and on about BAM ...

To get to the semifinals is already an achievement.
