heh..some lovely shots there, lin dan gwaping and smashing at the same time, zhang ning after a point, the dynamic character of badminton, with people leaping, landing, going one direction and the other
Nice to see some pictures. They wouldn't let me take my camera in. It was only a 20D with a 70-200F2.8 lens. At least with my gear there wouldn't have been any flashes.
In 1999 I got in with an EOS-IX and 28-200mm lens. I hope they'll let me take my 20D and lens this year as I have finally (after years of trying) got a ticket for a show court - No.1 court. I got in with SLR's and big lenses at the Manchester Commonwealth 2002 and at the England v Germany tour last year. My next tournament is the Masters at Preston Guild Hall which features all four of the Olympic Mixed Doubles Sem-finalists in a rematch. It is annoying that they stop people like me with the better cameras and more photographic know how and then let in the point 'n shooters who don't even know how to turn their camera's flashes off. I know they have to make money from the photos and there are various copyright issues etc but any photos that spectators take are likely to be from a single high angle only as they don't allow spectators to move around.
