    Tournament Days: March 15-19, 2014

    Takeaway:

    The European U17 Championships is an event for U17 players organized by Badminton Europe every second year. From 2014 onwards, the event will be played in the first half of even years.

    Both a team event and the five individual events are played during the 9-days long competition.

    The 2014 event will be played in Ankara (Turkey) from 15-23 March in the Ankara Aski Sports Hall with more than 5.000 spectator seats - the same hall that was used for the 2013 European Junior Championships.

    Day 1, and Slovakia have not helped their seeding by losing their RR rounds to unseeded teams Slovenia 0-5 and Hungary 1-4

    #2 seeds England came through 3-2 against Sweden.

    Croatia lost to Scotland 2-3, and was anchored by Maja Pavlinic who won all the matches she played.

    France has won 5-0 in both outings so far against Finland and Scotland.
