Agree. Alvent s left thigh s injured. Hendra s hitting the shots out to quickly end the agony. At least INA MD sporting enough to finish the match instead of retire. And they took care of KOR MD in SF for KooTan!
Alvent has no energy to play during Final dan Natsir's hand had a problem today ,..thats why she could not execute well..Goh Liu Ying played better than India Open....
Alvent's coach had instructed them to lose quickly on 2nd set as coach worried it might worsen alvent's injury
I disagree, Towi is getting better and calmer now...the probem otday is Butet's hand had a problem..Towi did not rush as he used to..it proved when INA trailing 9-13 today..Towi took the command, not Butet this time...I m sure they can handle European pairs and China....China XDs are not that special as long as ina pair could calm them selves...at least they have almost beaten Zhang nan/Zhou...Xu Chen/Majin lost to Shendy/Ricky...it proves this China pair is not stable yet.
Based on Hauge description, I think it's very good that Ina xd and md are still trying to at least play to the end despite the injuries. It paid in xd but not in md. That's all right. I wish for speedy recovery to Alvent and Lilyana, because Sudirman Cup is just around the corner.
Hendra also told me during Australia GP gold SF that Alvent was injured. It was clear on that match that strength speed and technique wise belong to Alvent/Hendra in the first set they were 1 level above the Japanese pair, but in the 2nd also clearly Alvent did not want to play anymore (in fact he was called/warned by the umpire, perhaps not knowing he was injured). So I was surprises they made it to the final in Malaysia, thumbs up for them for fighting on.
Alvent is part of Sudirman Cup and thats why thw coach is worried that he might not train well as INA has 2 weeks only
During the Manager's meeting, Referees warns all players to "play their best"...during semifinal, Referees did not know that Japan team is not National team but as a club so 2 coaches from japan were coaching their players, because they play a lot rallies, 2 referees went to the court to watch them..may be they are thinking the Japanese pairs were" playing the tricks)...in India SS, it is national team but at MAS Open, all Japanese players played for the club....
Womens Doubles is the least followed event in tournaments nowadays . The longest match was the Womens Doubles; Miyuki Maeda/Satoko Suetsuna [1] defeating Shizuka Matsuo/Mami Naito [5] 21-18, 21-13 in 76 minutes. No comments about their match? Perhaps Womens Doubles is the least followed event in tournaments nowadays. .
Womens doubles as played by the Japanese ladies is excruciatingly tedious to watch. It's really a huge step backwards for the event. 76 minutes for a straight sets game?! Good grief There were no attempts to change the tempo of the game or employing tactical play to outmaneuver your opponents as both pairs were just content to lob and drop till the cows came home. I think in the end they just bored each other to tears. I'm really surprised to think that such unimaginative and unadventurous playing could come from the coaching of Park Joo Bong. I'd rather watch curling!
