It means they were probably more equal to begin with (I mean she was already the Asian champ at the time) than if you'd just read 19 y.o vs. 27 y.o. It is only to be expected Chinese players coming out of juniors are practically battle ready for the pro tour whereas an European player coming out of juniors is only just getting started and a good explanation of why they peak much later nearing their late twenties (recent examples Tine Rasmussen, Schenk, Zwiebler). Of course the truly talented will be the exception to the rule like a Gade but we will never know how good he would've been without his big injury. Plus men's doubles might be the exception although China doesn't exactly have the best record in that event so might as well have no relation to age at all in their case ... (was wondering why everything works so slowwww, turns out my cpu fan had stopped working )
Your cpu fan stopped working, not turning? That's serious, then your cpu will overheat and shut down your PC to prevent damage, assuming your cpu model has built-in overtemp control. I'd advise you to change your cpu heatsink fan immediately, don't overstress it by resetting your PC after it has cooled down, doing so repeatedly will shorten its lifespan if not burnt it.
Wow, we have turned this into a PC advice thread. Next caller, line 2... Tine v Auntie Yao Jie. The Auntie should have no business being on court with Tine but the Dane's dramatic drop in form is worrying. Auntie Yao Jie has been playing decent lately too.
Yes it stops turning every now and then. The problem is the connector is a little loose but nothing a firm tap on the side can't fix . And the case opens without having to loosen any screws so I can just turn it on it's side whilst still on, open up and jiggle the cable to get it started again. The challenge is to keep it maintaining enough pressure on the contacts ... (it's some sort of proprietary Dell cable)
Wow Zechiri leading now ... supposedly she is very tired so conjuring up the last bit left for this match . And in the mean time 3 straight from Sato to 22-20 as above . Second should be much quicker then ...
Moral of the story: don't get married and change your last name ^^ ("Baun" c'mon ) Thai pairing too quick? A scenario pictured but you never know how it actually pans out ... worth a PAW in hindsight given the points on the board this whole week.
You should have consulted me on this Thai pair. I've watched them and they're pretty darn amazing. They are young, fast and powerful
How many players from an established badminton nation play singles and doubles in a tournament these days? Sapsiree is the only one that comes to mind. Anyone else?
"Established badminton nation" ... Can name more than a few names if we're venturing down to that level . Probably Nedelcheva should be named who has simultaneously held a top 10 ranking in WS and WD according to tournamentsoftware ... (of course no longer playing WD since they can't qualify for the OG) But I assume Sapsiree is still young and the choice will be made eventually.
The Swedish girls had a clear strategy to target Wallwork, and this eventually succeeded. Another poor result for the English duo - reminiscent of their disastrous CG 2010 match against the Australian pair. What was sad today was to see Gabby White so off form - BE should consider splitting up this duo for a time. Only valliant Adcock/Ellis left now for English fans after yet another failure by NR/JW, and in the World junior team event last week the English juniors lost to Turkey...with OG 2012 London fast approaching these are desparate times for the English game. Re.Tina Baun vs.Tina Rasmussen - yup, call me superstitious, but I agree - she should have waited and let her career run its course before changing her name (like the singer Cheryl Cole - kept her ex husband's name because that's how the public knew her. A Cheryl Tweedy just ain't going to sell as many records). Mind you, I'm still a great fan of Tine and would love to see her return fully to form. smautf
