Nothing unfortunate. It was expected we would lose against them thanks to blunders of management. Now I wonder, who will play MS, MD, XD tomorrow. I'm guessing they will rejig players. Below are my guesses 1) KS/ Arjun in MD 2) SV/ BSP in MS. I guess they'll make Sai play 3) Dhruv/Crasto in XD.
Kiran George and sai prateek/ishaan both won MS and MD titles respectively in the ongoing Polish International tournament. Samiya imad farooqi and treesha/Gayathri both won runner up titles in WS and WD respectively. In both MS andWS had singapore opponents coached by Mulyo handayo. I could see him sitting behind them. Nice to see Singapore players shining.
I thought Rutuparna panda did not go there. But after seeing her name today against china, i was so pissed at the Management who wanted her to play XD against China. Why can't they allow her to play WD with Tanisha Crasto. Simply Unbelievable Then what is the use of conducting Selection trials and even after winning the trials, if they don't select the toppers to play, it is ridiculous. Aswini/Sikki could not even win the selection trials . How come they could perform in Sudirman Cup? Atleast the Tanisha/Panda could have got experience in playing in big stage. Good Bye India.
Yes, maybe they'll let them play tomorrow. I think they thought Ashwini/Sikki would have better chances given their experience. However, I can't remember them winning against any significant pair. Also, very disappointing to see that there seem to be no plans to develop a good XD pair. It doesn't seem like they are playing to win anyway or what is the logic of pairing Sai/Srikanth in the XD.
There are lot of domestic players who can play xd,but why ks and bsp were chosen?(ms players).Anyway, the pace of footwork and shot quality from shi yuqi was fantastic to watch. It would have been interesting if kiran or sameer had played that mens singles against shi yuqi. Kiran George is ready for his debut Thomas cup. He and his coach are expecting him to go under top 50 within this season. That's possible. Now from 101, after winning Polish International, with additional 2500 points , he may go to 83 or 84. After Thomas cup, he may go in 70's. So, let's wait for some young blood instead of our old patrons. They had done their part well in their prime which no other indians had done it. So, we need to respect that also. But we feel dumped by the attitude and beurocracy of Management people.
Instead of letting them play against weak teams, they need to use them against strong team. Strong against strong. We should not enter the court in thinking that we will lose. Tomorrow, I dont have any interest in watching. What else is there to watch. Already out of the competitions. After seeing some points of XD, I felt really bad about India. Our tax payers money are going wasted like this WITHOUT ANY PREPARATION .
I know. But I don't think even the top Indian players take these seriously, probably as they know they won't make it past quarters. Otherwise Sindhu/Saina/Satwik would have played. Polii/Rahayu, Viktor are also playing, they could also have taken a vacation after winning Olympic Gold (Although INA/ DEN have better chance at medalling). This is not the first time they have a non-serious attitude towards the team events, and it won't be the last, if things continue in similar manner.
There are lot of names keep rising in ms. lakshya, meisnam, satish, varun, sankar etc...who gonna make it big? Sent from my Redmi Note 5 using Tapatalk
Welcome to the Forum. New entry ! Well, Talking about upcoming MS players, i think Lakshya Sen, Meisnam and Satish and Kiran has potential. Shankar - i watched him playing. He is so young. only 17. His strokes lack maturity and not clean. He is slow to react as well. He don't know how to finish the rally . But he has that potential. Priyanshu Rajawat - He seems to me monotonous . Not any strokes which stood apart . He relies on his aggressive game which backfired when he met an all rounder. He lost easily in the qualification round of Polish International. Varun Kapur - No idea about him. Not watched much of him.
lakshya and kiran are the players to watch out for.kiran had beaten hsp, mark caljouw at Orleans masters 2021. Sent from my Redmi Note 5 using Tapatalk
Kiran is keep on improving. He has beaten prannoy again in the trials in straight games and also defeated Sameer verma. I think he did not beat sai and sri and sen. But time will come soon. His ranking will reach top 50 this season. We will be able to see him in GPs and GPGs if at all it happen again.
lets see who gonna play vs finland for india.ina vs den is just started. Sent from my Redmi Note 5 using Tapatalk
The way they woke up in time to field actual doubles player in XD and better pair in WD. That too in the last tie against Finland to save face.
Saving grace!. Aswini/sikki would have lost. My goodness Tanisha is something I never seen in Indian WD before. Her strokes and maturity for an 18 year old girl is simply superb.
