one match running, surely bringing Awadhe Warriors to the top spot and tomorrow Bengaluru Raptors will overtake Mumbai Rockets to make it to the third place. Mumbai will still qualify for the SF as Chennai Smashers would have to win 6- (-1) tomorrow against the on fire Raptors.
The first four teams should qualify for SF, right?!
Thats probably 1. Awadhe Warriors, 2. Hyderabad Hunters, 3. Bengaluru Raptors, 4. Mumbai Rockets

Who would have thought HH could lose to lowly DD??? :(
    Did they use their reserves?

    9-Jan-2019 Hyderbad Hunters vs Delhi Dashers 3 - 4

And yes, AW made an impressive showing during their last 2 matches to make it to the top spot:

    7-Jan-2019 Awadhe Warriors vs Chennai Smashers 4 - 3
9-Jan-2019 Awadhe Warriors vs North Eastern Warriors 5 - 0

For the SF tomorrow, the 4 contenders will surely use their best players to try to make it to the finals.

PBL is no doubt very entertaining. But I can't help but feel that it has it has gone downhill since the first edition when it was called IBL.

All the matches of IBL were uploaded to internet and it was live streamed on youtube.
But forget live streaming, I can't even find any of the from matches from even last season(PBL 3).
So if you miss a match, it seems there is no way to watch it for free.
And of course most Indians will play it safe and not record and upload it.

Anyway, looking forward to the finals today.
Not sure which team to support, but I will enjoy it.

Some scintillating badminton in the final and it went down to the wire. It was up to the two legendary pairs to decide the championship and Hendra/Ashan pair prevailed. Also, I hope that Kidambi continues his form this year.

    Yeah, it was pretty good.
Hendra Setiawan and Mohammad Ahsan were on fire in that last doubles.
Sameer took his revenge against Sai.
Also, I felt Vu deserved at least one award from the night. Her trump win was crucial.

Yes, he has the most consecutive wins this tournament. That's a welcome change considering his horror run in international tournaments last year.

I thought the final was the best that Hendra played this tournament. He reserved his best for the finals. Ashan was good throughout the tournament. Bit disappointed in LYD loosing the match and he was below par by his standards in the finals. The calm and collected Indonesian pair prevailed in crucial moments.

13-Jan-2019 Final (Bengaluru Raptors vs Mumbai Rockets) 4 - 3
Surprised and disappointed not to see the front runners in the final, AW and HH!

But congrats to BR and MR.
