Yes i do agree with you that the most promising MAS XD pair to date, CPS/GLY is one of the strongest opponents for Towi/Butet. However after watching yesterday match between CPS/GLY vs Sudket/Sarallee, Sudket/Saralee performance is quite good, and i just wondering could actually Towi/Butet tame the Thai No.1 XD. Hopefully Towi/Butet could overcome LYD/HJE & become a champion in this tourney. It will boost their confidence for London. The other INA Semi-Finalist here is the Phenomenal Doubles pair Rian/Angga. They have beaten CB/GZD & KKK/TBH in the Quarter Final. Their performance is quite consistent, just that i noticed yesterday that Angga is at front while he used to be comfortable enough at the back & Rian just the opposite. However they still win the match & played quite well. I guess both of them are more towards all around player comfortable at the back as well as at front.Good. I am confident enough they would be able to beat Thai MD today. All the best to Towi/Butet & Ryan/Angga for today's match.
So CJ gave WO to P.Kashyap, official report cited 'wrist injury'.... I tell you aaa....keep faking these injuries and karma will bite you really hard and make it these injuries real.... Anyways, rooting for Schenk today, also Miyuki and Satoko!
now eyeing on Goh/Lim vs Ko/Yoo, last meeting Ko/Yoo was the winner, hope Goh/Lim will able to beat the 'nemesis' as they have improved a lot and play better than their seniors Koo/Tan...
When Badminton is manipulated in such a manner, we may start to lose some fans (me), let alone trying to win more. Sad.
. The BWF people have been trying hard to promote Badminton as a spectacular sport to watch. And many Badminton fans agree that watching matches live at court-side is great. I believe that many fans wanted to watch the 2010 World Champion, Chen Jin, live yesterday at the venue. But when he gave the walkover, I believe that the tournament organisers were quite disappointed (thinking of the crowd at the venue). When Chen Jin indicated that he wished to give a walkover, tournamentsoftware released the news at their website. Minutes later, it was removed. I believe that the tournament organisers were persuading Chen Jin to play. .
. Now, here is an interesting question - Will it be considered by BWF that it was a 'loss' on Chen Jin's part when he gave the walkover? Even in our BC PAW Game, we don't consider it as such. .
You mean the organizers have to dissuade him not to withdraw? So ridiculous !! If he is injured and confirmed, he has the right not to play but if he is not injured, he must play. Are you implying something fishy happening here?
. 2:00pm India Time. http://www.worldtimeserver.com/current_time_in_IN.aspx which is 28 minutes from now. .
Heong, we are already here : http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...S-Semi-final-and-Finals?p=1889813#post1889813
. Chen Jin came to play at this 2012 India Open SS to gain enough Olympic Games ranking points to overtake Peter Gade. Once he has done so, CHN suggested to him to stop playing (so I was told). Why? So that he is better prepared for his next tournament, the 2012 Thomas Cup Finals. .
I think India shouldn't organise a SS next year....better give it to another country that has a bigger reception.....their stadium seats are almost empty !!
. Yes, we, in Australia, are trying to bring a SS tournament here. Perhaps, we could replace the Indian SS. .
Sorry Chris, this thread already 43 pages, I found it rather long, so started semi & final one since you havent start one
. No worries. I started so many threads, therefore I thought I should condense my threads (to fewer). Previously, I have always broken up the 'Semi-Finals & Finals' from the 'Qualifications to Quarter-Finals' matches. .
In fact, I have stated Australia as the best candidate to replace India to host the SS tournament next year in another thread... One way to globalise badminton, introduce it in Oceania
